WAHPETON, ND (KFGO-AM) - A 23-year old Sargent County man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, and drunk driving in connection with a hit and run accident. As part of a plea agreement, a murder charge against Dakota Sutton was dropped.
The Brampton, North Dakota man was accused of killing 28-year old Reavis Dandridge of Oakes in a hit and run accident on a Sargent County road in April of last year.
Judge Brad Cruff ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Sutton could face a maximum of more than 20-years in prison. The plea hearing was held in Wahpeton where Sutton is being held.
