MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - More trouble for a rural Moorhead man accused of trying to kill his ex-girlfriend with a baseball bat. Thirty-four-year-old Michael Karau is charged with two felony counts of violating a judge's "no contact" order.
Clay County prosecutors say Karau tried to call the woman from jail 12 times over the course of two days. Court documents say Karau made contact during two of the phone calls.
The woman's mother reported the calls to the sheriff's office.
Karau remains jailed on charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault.
