Salvation Army to host Spring coat drive

FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The Salvation Army says 550 children and adults in our community didn't get winter coats, boots, snow pants, hats and mittens during last year's "Coats for Kids and Families" campaign because not enough donations were made.

Volunteer and Public Relations Manager Kim Wagner says they want to make sure that doesn't happen again. The Salvation Army and MSUM social work students brainstormed ways to fill that gap.  Wagner says they decided to do a Spring drive for winter coats because a lot of people don't want to hang on to the coats over the summer that don't fit their kids.

In conjunction with Clean-Up Week, bins will be set up at all Hornbacher's stores, Fargo Elementary schools and various West Fargo schools. You can drop off clean, gently used winter clothing between April 28 and May 9.
