FARGO, ND (KFGO AM) -- A garage fire in north Fargo yesterday caused an estimated $25,000 to $30,000 damage.
The owner was attempting to start her car when it backfired and the vehicle started on fire.
The vehicle was destroyed and the garage sustained significant damage.
There was also minor fire damage to a second unattached garage.
A city garbage truck operator was in the alley at the time and attempted to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher but was unsuccessful.
The fire was quickly extinquished when fire crews arrived on scene.
The cause is still under investigation.
