FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A Cedar Rapids, Iowa man was the person shot by Fargo police following an armed robbery at Howard Johnson's in downtown Fargo Thurs. afternoon.
Eric Lee Webb, 30, remains in a Fargo hospital. Officer Matthew Niemeyer, a seven-year veteran of the force, fired two rounds at Webb.
Interim Police Chief Dave Todd says the state bureau of criminal investigation will handle the shooting aspect of the case and police will continue to investigate the robbery.
Webb has been charged with robbery and being a convicted felon with a gun.
