WEST FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- West Fargo Police have identified the victims of an apparent murder suicide.
It's believed 44-year old Lance Rick of Moses Lake, Washington shot and killed 44-year old Sharon Connell-Rick in her home at 1072 Parkway Lane. The two were separated.
Police say Rick flew into Fargo Saturday afternoon.
A friend of Sharon Connell-Rick's knew the two were supposed to meet and tried to call her and even went to her house two times before calling police to do a welfare check. Officers found the two dead at 12:02 a.m. Sunday. She had been shot twice, once in the body and once in the head. He suffered a gunshot to the head.
The gun was found next to his body. Both bodies were taken to Grand Forks for autopsies.
Police Chief Mike Reitan says Connell-Rick had two children, ages 13 and 15, who were staying with their father for the weekend.
