BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Testimony has wrapped up in the case of man on trial in North Dakota for his role in a Jamaican lottery scam.

Twenty-five-year-old Sanjay Williams, of Montego Bay, Jamaica, is charged in federal court with conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering. Authorities say the scam bilked mostly elderly and vulnerable citizens out of their savings accounts.

Both the prosecution team and defense attorney Charlie Stock finished their presentations Monday, on the sixth day of trial. Closing arguments are scheduled Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Williams mainly bought and sold lists of potential victims. Stock says that so many people involved in the scheme used fake names and IDs that it's difficult to believe most of the witnesses.

The case originated with a woman from Harvey who says she lost nearly $300,000.
