REYNOLDS, N.D. (KFGO-AM) -- A benefit dinner, auction and dance will be held in Reynolds, North Dakota Saturday for Traill County Sheriff Steve Hunt.

Hunt has a genetic liver disease which has been complicated by cancer and is in need of a liver transplant.

Organizer Becky Paul says they have a lot of items up for bid.

"We have sweatshirts, we have baskets, bicycles, UND signed hockey jersey, UND pictures, NDSU pictures, it just goes on," Paul said. "I mean, it's quite overwhelming how much stuff we have."

The benefit will be held at the KC Hall in Reynolds. It starts with a free-will offering meatball dinner from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The live auction starts at 6 p.m. Portland Junction will provide the evening's music.

Hunt is still working, even though he's traveling to the Mayo Clinic every six to eight weeks for chemotherapy.
