MOORHEAD, MINN (KFGO-AM) -- Churches United for the Homeless held a public meeting last night to review design options for property recently purchased on 34th St. N. in Moorhead.
The non-profit wants to build a multi-million dollar apartment complex for homeless families there. The proposal was met with opposition from neighbors when it first surfaced last year.
Some showed up last night to voice concerns, however most of those who attended supported the idea.
The Churches United project depends on getting funding from the State Housing Finance Agency. An application last year was denied.
