MOORHEAD, Minn (KFGO-AM) - Security is being stepped-up at Moorhead’s public schools. The district plans to install up to 500 new security cameras over the next year-and-a-half.
Administrators say the upgrades are not directly connected to a series of alleged sexual assaults involving a Moorhead High School student. “I don’t think it’s a direct response.” Assistant Superintendent Jeremy Larson said. “Each year, we review where we start with our initial cameras. We try to put them (cameras) in the most populated areas.”
Police continue looking for 18-year-old Sulejman Sulejmani. He's accused of stopping and restraining female students in a high school stairwell and demanding sexual favors. Sulejmani is facing 12 counts of criminal sexual conduct, false imprisonment and soliciting minors for sex.
