ANKENY, Iowa -- Casey's General Stores Inc. today announced that it has signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire 24 Stop-n-Go locations; 20 of the stores are located in North Dakota and four are located in Minnesota.
The acquisition is subject to certain regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, including the company's receipt of satisfactory inspection reports related to the stores. The company expects the transaction to close in May 2014, and it will be funded by a combination of existing cash and operating cash flow.
Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey's owns and operates nearly 1,800 c-stores in 14 Greater Midwestern states--Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, North Dakota and Tennessee.
