DILWORTH, MINN. (KFGO-AM) Dilworth Mayor Chad Olson says the City Council has some big decisions to make as it hires a new city administrator and a police chief in coming weeks.
For the first time, Dilworth hired an executive search firm to find candidates. Brimeyer-Fursman, of Maplewood, Minn. is conducting the job search. Applications for both positions are now closed. 37 applied for the police chief's job, vacant since Josh Ebert resigned last September. Olson says applications came in from as far away as Boston and Southern California. The salary range is $63,314 to $76,000.
43 people applied for City Administrator Ken Parke's job. He's retiring. The number of candidates will be narrowed and short lists will be selected by the city council for interviews later this month and next. The pay scale ranges from $70,220 to $90,267.
The start date for both positions is April.
