FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- The Fargo School Board got an update on planning progress on the new elementary school planned in Ed Clapp Park.
Design work is being done now, with a preliminary cost estimate of just over $15 million.
The next step will be getting the design out to construction companies for their bids.
The school is expected to open in Spring of 2015.
Business Manager Brock Leitz also told board members the bid for a new heating and air conditioning system at Madison elementary came in $200,000 over the initial estimate.
Board members decided to delay action until bids for upgrades at the other schools are in.
Madison was one of the Fargo schools shut down late last August due to extreme heat.
