FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- Despite being worth $2.3 million, a Finley, North Dakota woman accused of killing her husband has been given approval for a public defender.
Sherry Midstokke is charged with murder.
Lyle Midstokke was found dead last Monday.
Authorities say she drugged and suffocated him.
A judge says Midstokke qualified for the public defender because her son had her assets frozen.
Her next court appearance is February 26th.
The head of the state's public defenders office has asked the judge to review his decision.
