FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Allegiant Airlines announced late Wednesday afternoon that a court order has been obtained to stop its pilots from going on strike.
The pilots had threatened a walkout in a dispute over scheduling and benefits.
Allegiant is one of five airlines serving Fargo's Hector International Airport. A strike could potentially affect 250 flights and up to 33,000 Allegiant customers natiowide.
"We are pleased to report that Allegiant have been successful in receiving a court order to stop the Teamsters intended strike. We have every reason to believe that the Teamsters will honor the court’s instructions, and we will operate our weekend schedule as planned" Allegiant said. "We are still committed to doing right by our passengers, and will honor all previous communications regarding flight changes or “no-shows” on flights through Tuesday, April 7th.
