FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Fargo city leaders have decided to reject bids that came in 10% over budget last week and rebid the city hall building project.
A committee will meet with the project architect to come up with a redesign, making decisions on what to drop from the project to shave about $3 million off the cost, bringing the cost down to $26 million to $27 million.
Mayor Tim Mahoney expects the project will be re-bid in about 3 months. Mahoney says the delay won't hurt and he believes the project will stay on time. Work was set to begin next month.
