MINNEAPOLIS (MNN) - A Minneapolis Police officer is in stable condition after he was shot early Saturday morning.
Police says the shooting happened after two officers had finished clearing the scene of a burglary call.
The wounded officer’s partner drove him to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
Police Chief Janne Harteau says she believes the officers were targeted.
Mayor Betsy Hodges described the shooting as a "cowardly act."
Police are still searching for the suspect.
