BISMARCK (KFGO-AM) - The North Dakota House approved a bill that makes changes in pentalities for small amounts of marijuana.
The bill reduces the penalty for possesion of an ounce or less of marijuana from class A misdemeanor to a class B misdemeanor.
Representative William Kretschmar of Venturia, a member of the House Judciary Committee that earlier gave the bill a "do pass" recommendation, said the bill also has a provision that wipes the offense off the record of first time offenders after two years.
