MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - Layoffs may be in the works at Concordia College in Moorhead. A number of faculty and staff could be cut because of declining enrollment.
Concordia president William Craft says the college is putting together a three-year plan to deal with its money problem, which may include cuts in faculty, staff and programs.
Department chairs were told to budget for a nearly $4 million deficit. Craft says Concordia has met, or surpassed its fundraising goals as of the beginning of January, But he says the college still needs more students.
Concordia administrators are planning for enrollment somewhere between 2,300 and 2,500 students.
