BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The Burleigh County Sheriff's Department is investigating an accident that sent four people to the hospital after the vehicle they were riding in fell through ice.
Sgt. Mike Stoltz says three men and one woman were injured early Sunday morning when the SUV fell into the Missouri River. He says the incident was reported around 7:40 a.m. but authorities believe it occurred before then.
Stoltz says the vehicle went through the ice off a sandbar near Bismarck. He says that the occupants of the vehicle weren't ice fishing.
The driver was arrested for reckless endangerment.
