A drone research and development center at the Grand Forks Air Force Base could start becoming a reality in a couple of months.
Called "Grand Sky," the 200 acre site on the base will house the facility owned by Aerospace giant "Northrop-Grumman."
Senator John Hoeven says some major federal funding is on the way.
Hoeven says they're still working with federal authorities to get the air space over North Dakota okayed for drone test flights.
