Gasoline is a lot cheaper this year as North Dakotans head to the roads for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Gasbuddy.com reports that average retail gas prices in the state have fallen more than 3 cents per gallon in a week's time, to about $2.95 a gallon. That's more than 22 cents lower than last year at this time.
AAA cites falling global oil prices as the primary reason for the drop in the price of gas at the pump nationwide. The downward pressure on prices is expected to continue through the Thanksgiving holiday.
Wednesday's forecast calls for a chance of snow in western North Dakota, with highs from the single digits in the northeast to the mid-20s in the southwest.
The highway patrol says troopers will be boosting enforcement starting Wednesday.
