WAHPETON (KVLY) -- An independent review of SEMCA, the Southeast Multi-County Agency Drug Task Force which came under scrutiny after the death of Wahpeton college student Andrew Sadek, is believed to be done. A spokesperson for the South Dakota Attorney General's Office told Valley News Live that someone from that office assisted, but did not head up the review, which only took a day or two. No results have been released.

Last month, North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem said he wanted South Dakota to direct and oversee the review.

Sadek had been facing drug related charges. His mother claimed drug task force agents pressured him to work with them.

Sadek's body was found in the Red River near Breckenridge in June. He died of a gunshot wound to the head.

His mother, Tammy Sadek, says she was disappointed to hear that only two days were spent on the review. She says now that the election is over, it sure changed things.
