Bison return to form, roll Missouri State 45-10

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Carson Wentz threw five touchdown passes and John Crockett ran for 177 yards as North Dakota State’s offense exploded in a 45-10 victory over Missouri State on Saturday.

One week after the Bison offense struggled in a 23-3 loss at Northern Iowa, Wentz tied a school record with five TD throws. Crockett added a rushing touchdown as the Bison improved to 10-1 overall and 6-1 in the league.

Zach Vraa had five catches for 119 yards and a TD for the Bison. Included in Carson Wentz’s TD passes were two to his cousin, tight end Connor Wentz.

The Bison rolled up 473 total yards. Meanwhile, NDSU’s defense held Missouri State to 99 rushing yards and 240 total yards.

 

Kyle Emanuel and Travis Beck each had an interception for the Bison.
