FARGO (KFGO-AM) - The North Dakota Real Estate Commission will meet next month to consider whether disciplinary action should be taken against Fargo real estate agent Chuck Carney.
Last week, Carney pleaded guilty to felony theft. He stole an estimated $100,000 in cash and jewelry from the home of a neighbor and friend.
ND Real Estate Commission Executive Director Pat Jurgenson says the status of Carney's license will be discussed at the commission's next meeting Oct. 8. Jurgenson says if the commission takes action, Carney will have an opportunity to respond and ask for a hearing.
Carney could potentially lose his real estate license. He's serving a 90-day sentence in a halfway house.
