MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) --MSU-M President Anne Blackhurst is putting together a task force to deal with sexual assaults on campus.
Blackhurst says it will be made up of students, faculty and staff. One of the main things they're looking at is "campus culture" and that "no" means "no". Blackhurt says "this cannot be a situation where faculty and staff are monitoring things 24-hours a day, it's just not possible, nor is is desireable". She says "what we want is for everyone in the campus community to be making decisions that are in their best interest, as well as in the best interest of the campus community".
The task force will also focus on the issue of binge drinking.
NDSU is also highlighting sexual assaults starting this week. All freshmen and transfer students are required to take a class that teaches about sexual violence.
