FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A lockdown at West Acres Mall has ended. The mall went into lockdown after a woman was assaulted in her vehicle in the parking lot. Fargo Police converged on the mall area around 11:15 a.m. Thursday after a woman reported being assaulted by an unknown male who fled on foot.
The woman told police the man tried to force her into her vehicle. She struggled with him and was punched in the face. The woman says the man had a gun. She works at the mall and was leaving when she was assaulted.
The mall went into lockdown. The lockdown was lifted about an hour later.
