FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Hoping for some nice weather? you're not alone. Cass County Vector Control has been unable to spray for mosquitoes because of rain and wind the past week. Director Ben Prather says conditions should improve enough for the season's first metro-wide aerial spraying Wednesday night.
Fargo, West Fargo,Moorhead and fringe area's of the cities will be sprayed starting at 7:45 pm. That's a total of more than 40,000 acres. The aerial application doesn't come cheap, costing about $70,000.
Prather says ground spraying will also start Wednesday evening in Horace and Kindred. Additional Cass County communities are expected to be added later.
