BISMARCK (KFGO-AM) -- Colonel Jim Prochniak has retired from the North Dakota Highway Patrol after nearly 27 years of service.
During his time with the Patrol, Prochniak was stationed in Fargo, Casselton, Bismarck, and Minnewaukan. In 2009, he was appointed Patrol Superintendent.
Prochniak was awarded the Highway Patrol's Meritorious Service Medal for serving with honor and merit.
