FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Christopher Hampton, 24, has been arrested and charged with murder. He's accused of shooting his roommate Thursday night at their apartment in the 100 block of 7th Avenue north in Fargo. The name of the male victim, 28, has not been released.
Neighbors saw Hampton outside the duplux, very agitated and talking on a phone as police arrived on scene. Sargent Carlos Nestler says that's where Hampton was found and detained for questioning. A gun believed to have been used was recovered at the scene.
Officers who responded to the disturbance found the victim, wounded by at least one gunshot. Police attempted CPR at the scene and the victim was taken to Sanford Medical Center where he died.
