FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- The two candidates for mayor of Fargo have squared off in a debate sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
There were no sharp exchanges between incumbent Dennis Walaker and two-term Commissioner Brad Wimmer.
Wimmer spoke of his business background, prior public service and his work on the Diversion Authority.
Walaker, who headed the Public Works department before he was elected mayor, told the audience that he's done more than lead flood battles and people know it.
The debate was held in the city commission chambers with a near capacity crowd.
Walaker and Wimmer will meet again in a debate on KFGO at 11:00 AM on May 28th.
The election is June 10th.
