COOPERSTOWN, ND (KFGO-AM) - The owner of a Fargo-based plumbing, heating and cooling company that’s been hired to work on the addition of the Griggs County courthouse in Cooperstown says crews have been told to pack up and leave the job site.
Al Olson of Agassiz Mechanical tells KFGO News that the order came from the project's general contractor; Construction Engineers of Grand Forks. “They’re pulling the plug for the project. Everybody’s packing up” Olson said. “No one’s getting paid because the commissioners have such a mess.”
County commissioners have not been available for comment.
Olson says his company hasn't received a payment for the project since last year. He says the project is about 90-95 percent completed.
