BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota judge has sentenced a white supremacist to four years of supervised probation but no additional prison time for terrorizing the small community of Leith, where he tried to set up an all-white enclave.

Sixty-two-year-old Craig Cobb has been jailed since November when he was arrested on felony charges that he scared residents while patrolling Leith with a gun.

Cobb says his actions were in response to violence and harassment directed toward him.

He has since sold most of his Leith properties and in late February agreed to a plea agreement. The deal allowed him to plead guilty to five misdemeanor menacing counts and one felony terrorizing charge.

In return, Judge David Reich sentenced him Tuesday to probation.
