GRAFTON, ND. (KFGO AM) -- An ice jam caused lots of problems for people in Walsh County, North Dakota, yesterday.

Highway 81 through Minto was closed and a woman had to be rescued after she drove on the flooded road.

The jam formed at a railroad bridge on the Forest River east of Minto, causing the already swollen river to rise rapidly.

More than a dozen homes were surrounded by water.

There is good news this morning: the sheriff's office says things are calm.

The river peaked at just over 9-feet yesterday and has been dropping.

It's around six-and-a-half feet this morning.
