WINNIPEG (CJOB News) A Winnipeg hockey couple involved in a brawl during a mite hockey tournament in West Fargo two months ago has been banned from from their son's games and practices for the next three years. Hockey Winnipeg President Don Mcintosh says it's the harshest penalty ever handed down by his group which oversee's youth hockey in Winnipeg.

The ban comes after the parents got involved in a fight where punches were thrown after a tournament game February 7th. Mcintosh says language used and the fight that took place in front of eight-year old children was unlike anything he's ever seen in 25 years involved with hockey.

The parents plan to appeal the decision.
