FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) -- A former Mille Lacs County sheriff's deputy could face 33 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing several boys.
The Otter Tail County Attorney's office says Aaron Heuer of Isle pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving five victims.
Heuer also will plead guilty to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Mille Lacs County.
Under a plea deal, Heuer admitted he inappropriately touched four boys, ages 8 to 10, while volunteering as a fishing guide at Lutheran Island Camp near Henning last summer.
No charges will be filed in a case involving two of the same victims on a separate, unrelated fishing trip in Aitkin County.
Sentencing is set for May 8.
