FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A Fargo doctor is accused of negligence in an operation he performed on a Minnesota woman. Dr. Robert Sticca is being sued by Gina and Jason Bowles.
A lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Fargo claims Sticca mistakenly removed an incorrect rib while operating on Gina Bowles in February, 2013.
The couple claims that because of Sticca's negligence, Bowles needed additional surgery; resulting in pain, suffering, disability and emotional distress. They’re seeking damages in excess of $75,000.
Sticca is the chairman and program director of the department of surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.
