FARGO (KFGO-AM) Fargo's Parking Commission has given the go-ahead to seek architects for proposed downtown parking ramps.
New development has put parking at lots and ramps at capacity and city leaders agree something needs to be done. The architects will come up with design concepts, locatoins and cost estimates.
Panel Chairman Mike Williams says the study should look at mixed use ramps, placing retail or office space at the street level. Among the idea's, the possibility of adding another level to the city-owned Civic parking ramp next to the Radisson Hotel.
City Commissioners still have to sign off on the request for proposals.
