MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO-AM) - A federal judge who ordered construction to temporarily stop on the Oxbow-Hickson-Bakke ring levee is withholding comments on what the injunction specifically covers.
Oxbow mayor Jim Nyhoff and residents are upset by opponents' claims that U.S. District Court Judge John Tunheim's order also includes homes under construction, or those being bought out.
An aide to Tunheim tells KFGO News that the judge "cannot comment on an ongoing case." Nyhof says homeowners are in limbo and need clarification.
The injunction applies until the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources completes an environmental review.
The judge's aide says so far, neither side of the dispute has formally requested a clarification.
