FARGO, N.D. (KFGO-AM) - A judge has set bail at $1 million for a Cedar Rapids, Iowa man charged with robbing a downtown Fargo hotel and shooting at police.
A district judge set bail for Eric Webb, 30, during a court appearance at Sanford Medical Center where Webb remains a patient.
He was shot blocks from Howard Johnson's last Thursday afternoon.
Police say he robbed the hotel at gunpoint and fired a round from a handgun in the lobby. He then fled the hotel and was cornered by police who exchanged shots with Webb.
Webb is charged with robbery and having a gun as a convicted felon. Charges related to the shooting will be considered once the North Dakota State Crime Bureau completes its investigation in the shooting.
