BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The chairman of North Dakota's Republican Party says he won't seek another term.

Robert Harms tells The Associated Press he's been volunteering for the party for several years and it's time for new leadership.

Party officials are to elect a new chairman on Saturday.

Harms took over as chair in 2013, replacing Stan Stein, a Wahpeton farmer and longtime GOP activist. Harms also is a former party treasurer.

Harms is a Bismarck attorney and former legal adviser to Govs. Ed Schafer and John Hoeven.
