THIEF RIVER FALLS, MINN. (KFGO-AM) - A Thief River Falls man, accused of injuring a man in a fight outside the Thief River Falls VFW has been charged with murder.
Shaun Brandt, 34, allegedly pushed Bradley Friesen,43, during the fight last December. Friesen fell, struck his head, suffered skull fractures and a massive brain injury. He died five days later.
Brandt was initially charged with manslaughter and first degree assault. The prosecutor upgraded the charge this week. Brandt is free on $50,000 bond.
Friesen, of Blaine, Minnesota, was a private investigator who was attending college in Thief River Falls.
