WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - College students in Williston looking to take a load off during finals week got some help from two service dogs.
The dogs named Elliot and Buddy visited Williston State College during finals week. Students could pet the dogs during the day to help cope with stress.
Leah Hoffman is the school's mental health coordinator. She says she found it wasn't unusual for schools to host service dogs during finals.
Elliot and Buddy are in the process of being trained by Jud-based Service Dogs for America to help people with post-traumatic stress disorder. Socializing is part of their training.
