FARGO (KFGO-AM) - The North Dakota Attorney General's office has filed a formal request for a mistrial to be declared in the trial of West Fargo high school teacher Aaron Knodel.
Knodel was charged with having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a female student in 2009.Deliberations were stopped after the only juror who wanted to convict Knodel was taken to the hospital.
She later admitted to not telling the truth when she was asked whether she had ever been the victim of sexual abuse.
Knodel remains suspended. He is a former North Dakota Teacher of the Year.
