FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The lawyer for one of two organizations representing Fargo students who were denied permission to form anti-abortion clubs at their school's claims victory.

Chicago-based Thomas More Society and Students for Life in America say the school district has allowed the students to start the anti-abortion clubs at North and Davies High Schools.

Thomas More Attorney Jocelyn Floyd says it was clear the student's constitutional rights were violated and threatened to sue if the district did not approve the clubs.

The Fargo School District confirms the student clubs have been recognized, but had no further comment.

The Davies High Teens for Life members have already had their first meeting.  "North Spartans for Life" will meet for the first time next week.
