FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Those looking for a summer job shouldn't have too much trouble finding one.
Carey Fry with Job Service North Dakota says there are a lot of openings in the Fargo area, as well as statewide. She says most entry level jobs are not paying minimum wage. "A lot of service industry jobs aren't going below $9 an hour these days. The wages are pushing up because the economy is demanding it", says Fry.
Employers don't always post openings. Those looking for a job can stop by a business and ask if they're hiring. Many post openings on their own website, and jobsnd.com has hundreds of jobs posted locally, as well as statewide.
