FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A Wheatland, North Dakota man accused of neglecting 170 dogs has changed his not guilty plea.
Darcy Smith, 51, doesn't admit guilt, but acknowledges there is enough evidence to convict him of animal neglect. He appeared in Cass County Court in Fargo Wednesday.
The dogs were found in filthy and cramped conditions when they were seized in July.
Smith could face a year in jail and a $2,000 fine. His sentencing hearing has been set for January 6th.
