LAKE PARK (KFGO-AM) -- An investigator with the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's office is looking into Monday night's fire at the Lake Park elevator. Two buildings were destroyed and two others were damaged.
More than a dozen different fire departments, including Detroit Lakes, Hawley, Perham and Audubon helped battle it. They had to take water out of nearby lakes and haul it to the scene. Over 500,000 gallons was used.
The blaze was initially called in as a grass fire.
