WAHPETON (KFGO-AM) -- Fire departments from Dwight and Wahpeton were called out Monday afternoon to several fires along the railroad tracks from the westside of Wahpeton to 5 miles north of the city.
KFGO's Gary Rogers reported a local spray pilot dropped water on the larger fires. He was told a passing train that was shooting carbon from the engine was the cause of the fires.
It took about two-hours to put them all out.
