FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Fargo voters are choosing a mayor and city commissioner in a special election today. They will also decide a home rule charter question requiring a commissioner to resign in order to run for mayor.

Cass County Auditor Mike Montplaisir is hoping about 15,000 cast their ballot. By 12 p.m., about 3,000 people had already voted. Add in early voting and absentee ballots, and that number was up to 7,000.
Voting centers are open until 8 p.m. The sites are at the Fargodome, El Zagal Shrine, the main Fargo library, Baymont Inn on 13th Ave. S. Calvary United Methodist Church on 45th St. and Atonement Lutheran Church on South Univ. Drive.
